  1. Preheat oven to 400 F
  2. Using aluminum foil, create an 11 x 12.5 "pan" on a baking sheet. Make sure there is a rim around the edge of your foil pan to prevent caramel from leaking
  3. Line foil pan with a layer of saltines. Heat the butter with the brown sugar and boil for 3 minutes, stirring constantly
  4. Pour caramel over saltines and place in hot oven for 5 minutes
  5. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips. Spread the chocolate as it melts. You may have to put it back in the oven for about a minute to melt the chocolate
  6. Sprinkle with chopped pecans and chill. Break into pieces to serve
