Directions

  1. Combine water and milk. Heat on stove to 98 degrees F. Stir in yeast and set aside for 10 minutes
  2. Whisk together flour, salt, and suger
  3. Slowly add liquid to dry ingredients. Mix until dough is smooth
  4. Work butter into dough and knead
  5. Form dough into ball and place in lightly greased bowl. Cover and let rise until doubled
  6. Lightly grease three 9x4.5 inch loaf pans
  7. Deflate dough and divide into three equal portions
  8. On a lightly floured surface, roll with a rolling pin until 1/2 inch thick and 9 inches wide (same width as the loaf pan)
  9. Tightly roll dough into a log, then pinch seam closed and place in loaf pan
  10. Cover with greased plastic wrap and allow to rise until dough top is above pan edge
  11. Bake at 350 degrees F for 35 - 40 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 190 degrees F
  12. Allow to cool completely before slicing
